ACTOR'S RESUME - How to List a Webseries

Have you been involved in a web series, a series of video episodes released over time on the Internet?  Many creators are using popular video platforms like Vimeo and YouTube to host their shows in hopes of attracting as many viewers as possible.   As you may know, they are becoming more popular,  and you may find yourself acting in one.

If you do find yourself cast in a web series, the question usually arises, "How do I list it on my resume?"

Many may list web series in the TV (or Film/TV) category, because it is episodic. You may see it inclusive in the sub-heading, i.e. "Film/TV/New Media or TV/New Media." However if you don't have any TV credits and/or you find yourself building a resume of web series roles, you may want to make an individual "New Media/Web series" sub-heading on your resume.

Web series roles should be listed the same way as television roles.   Link to my previous blog for a review.  http://atxrandom.blogspot.com/2016/09/an-actors-resume-how-to-list-tv-roles.html

If becoming SAG eligible is one of your goals, being on a web series is an accessible way to attain this eligibility.    More on that next week.
